I can’t say enough good things about Carson Kitchen. We booked the rooftop for our pre-wedding dinner, and the entire event was a huge success from start to finish. The staff was phenomenal across the board. Huge shoutout to the bartender with the mustache and mullet (I didn’t catch his name) who kept the drinks flowing all night and brought such great energy to the evening. The wait staff was equally fantastic, attentive, organized, and on top of everything despite the size of our group. As for the food, every dish we tried was outstanding. Some of our favorites were the deviled eggs, fried chicken skins, the mac & cheese, and the bread pudding. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It was also really nice to step away from the Strip and experience a local Las Vegas restaurant with so much personality and character. Carson Kitchen ended up being one of the highlights of our wedding weekend. Whether you’re planning a date night, celebration, or group dinner, it’s absolutely worth the visit.
Attended dinner after making a same day reservation. Food choices are plentiful and are complementary to all palates. These are more of shared portion types of servings. Order a bunch and share amongst your party. The Mac and Cheese is unmatched. The best I’ve had in quite some time. The only dish we tried that I didn’t have a second portion of was the shrimp scampi. Just didn’t hit hard for me. Everything else was fantastic. Service was friendly and prompt. I really enjoyed the ambiance, though near the end of our visit it did get quite crowded and loud. Still, this is nothing that would prevent me from returning. If you’re in the area and looking for high quality food and service, all at a fair price, look no further.
An amazing find! We dined on the patio in very relaxed and casual atmosphere. The patio is large an even has an upstairs area. Plenty of tables that seat 4 or pull up a chair to the large fire pit and relax with a drink from the bar. We had the short rib steak which paired well with the creamy mac and cheese. The steak is small but oh so juicy and tender. The mac & cheese was creamy and did not have an overwhelming cheese flavor. Just perfect! We finished off with the bourbon fudge brownie.
Definitely recommend a visit to Carson Kitchen if you’re looking for great food off the strip. The food and cocktails here are excellent! I definitely recommend the “Devil’s Eggs” and the “Killer Shrimp.” The “Crispy Chicken Skins” are also very delicious. You will not be disappointed!
We were greeted immediately and luckily without a reservation we were seated but I highly recommend to make a reservation ahead of time. This place fills up! My boyfriend took me here for dinner and we ordered the fried chicken skin, short rib steak w/ the pesto sauce and the black rice & oxtail risotto. Yes, everything is as good as they say including the whiskey sour!!!! I will definitely come back and try new dishes on their menu the next time I'm in town. Excellent all around. Kendahl, our server was very sweet and attentive. She was very accommodating.
Why, why, WHY did I wait so long to come back to Carson Kitchen? This place has officially become one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Las Vegas — downtown or Strip. I first discovered it years ago during a New Year’s trip with visiting friends from Boston, and I still remember being blown away. After taking a year-long break from downtown Vegas, I recently returned… and instantly regretted staying away for so long. Carson Kitchen is tucked away behind one of the most nondescript entrances in downtown Las Vegas. My limo drove past twice before I realized the place was right in front of me. Hidden in plain sight — and I love that about it. Inside, the vibe is warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Downtown staff always feel more grounded than the Strip, but Carson Kitchen takes it to another level. It almost feels small-town — think Biddeford, Maine or Snyder, Texas — smack in the middle of Vegas. Over the years I’ve come with everything from parties of nine (five kids and teens — the pickiest eaters on earth) to smaller family outings. Every time, the food hits. Here are the essentials: ⭐ Must-Order Dishes • Bacon Jam This is next-level. Served sizzling with a strip of baked brie running through the middle. I’ve had bacon jams all over the country — this one is truly artisanal. An automatic order every time. • Fried Chicken Skins My whole family demands two orders right away. I grew up partly in Indonesia where this is normal fare, and Carson Kitchen nails it. Crunchy, savory comfort food with smoked honey dipping sauce. If you’re a chicken-skin person, this is heaven. • Pork Belly My wife’s forever favorite — perfectly rich and flavorful. • Deviled Eggs My oldest son insists on these every visit. • Chicken Thighs A recent new favorite. If I lived in Vegas, this would be a regular haunt of mine. Order multiple dishes and share. The killer shrimp is killer. Had 6 or 7 dishes. All very very good. Great bar and cocktails. Food comes out as soon as it is ready. Personally I think hot food is way more important than everyone getting the same course at the same time. Great concept very well executed.
INSANE! I have had deviled eggs at many restaurants and make a bunch of variations of them at home, as well. These are THE BEST I have ever had!!! The combination of caviar and little bacon chunks is perfection. I almost ordered a 2nd round but wanted to try more dishes. Cut the pork belly pieces in half on the direction of the pickled carrots, this will maximize your enjoyment. Hunter was so welcoming and made a perfect cocktail. Then Jess took care of me the rest of the time. Visit this little gem and you will not be disappointed!
This place has turned into our go to restaurant when we are staying on Freemont Street. Service is excellent, drinks are great, and the Food is amazing! We always try and sit on the Kitchen Counter to watch the small but talented kitchen staff work. Price wise i think it's reasonable especially for Vegas. We spent around $100 for four different plates. Highly recommend this place! We ate the Coffee NY Strip, Killer Shrimp, Baked Mac & Cheese, and of course my personal favorite dessert the Glazed Donut Bread Pudding!
